maybe you are NOW but you could be a different man in the future. its a skill that can be learned with practice like any other.

i suppose all u need to do to build that tolerance is to make shit, go ”man this sucks ass” and then make something else. eventually you might make something and think “man this sucks but it IS better than the thing i made yesterday”

im not sure exactly how u acquire that skill, and its different per medium ( for example i found it easier to take the failure when first making games, but when i try to make music my tastes are a lot higher than what im capable of making which makes it hard to accept )

so long as ur not blowing all your money on it there‘s no reality where spending some time to make art is a mistake or wasted time. a lot of what makes up acquiring a skill is resilience to failure, the ability to get back in the saddle when u make some dogshit crap nobody likes
