People don't dimension what this means in politics. One of the cornerstones of USA politics is to extend its scientific breakthroughs in exchange for better deals - people tolerated many of their faults because of this. Now that's out the window then how will their former allies respond?

I think the first stanza describes Katniss', the second Prim and, if you want to extend it further the last one Peeta.

Am I overreaching? Perhaps. Will it stop me? Unlikely.

Here it is the poem if you want to look at it: www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/42889/...
“Hope” is the thing with feathers
“Hope” is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all - And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard - And sore must be the storm - T...

in oil wells, in the ocean to identify and keep better track on the ecosystem. but no. they chose their greed to ruin the world and they should be blamed and remembered for that. (10 / ?)

the models I mentioned don't need these gigantic megacenters that pollute comunities - some you can even run in your computer! (though it might take a while hahahaha). they literally could have brough an age where we could have these models running in hospitals (9/?)

and it makes me sad, because I've seen how AI can bring change for good. Using it to identify tumors in MRI images, econographic studies as to identify and even prevent oil spills, the story of how the model to identify pastries was extended to fight cancer. (8/?)

it doesn't bring value, it generates revenue. they literally created a machine of nothingness and rather than backing off they are stepping on the accelerator regardless of any say we could have in the matter. (7/?)

personal use. LLm's are built and primmed to be used as long as possible, to extend conversations, to pull you in to generate revenue. stoping a chat that spams hours is not viable, it can be considered loss. your attention is what they want and no matter if it's nonsense or - (6/?)

these products only make money by using them - if workers don't use them because it brings more work, companies don't see the point in purchasing more licenses because the results doesn't justify its high costs then what option do they have? (5/?)
August 12, 2025 at 6:09 AM
They can't even claim "they just need a little bit of time" since China developed a model that outperformed them - it has been a while from then but what does it say that someone else developed a better product at a lesser cost. how do you keep investors happy? (4/?)
August 12, 2025 at 6:09 AM
Countless people who have been forced to use the product to justify its acquisition report it's useless, it doesn't work, it makes mistakes, it makes more work and customers have seen the deterioration of their experience as we speak. (3/?)

These models have literally underperformed catastrophically - these companies have hemourraged money on datacenters, tech, engineers and the only thing they have to offer is a product almost nobody wants to use. (2/?)
