ICT expresses deep concern regarding reports of apparent damage to 5 hydropower dams in the wake of recent earthquakes.

Harmful to Tibetans under normal circumstances, the impacts of the dams become catastrophic when exposed to seismic activity of the region.

In a statement yesterday at the 17th UN Forum on Minority Issues, @savetibet.bsky.social expressed its deep concern over the Chinese govt’s systematic erasure of the #Tibetan people’s identity through its education policies.

The German government, despite multiple requests, apparently did not confront Beijing on the massive protests against hugely consequential dam construction project in Derge, #Tibet, as a response to a parliamentary inquiry reveals. This is disappointing.
