View upward at dusk in my garden. The leaves coming out are on the Manitoba maple that I’ve let grow behind my raspberry row; provides morning shade in the summer. It and the Siberian elm I’ve let grow out front by my walk are considered weed trees, but to me, a tree is a tree; we need them all.

I met Richard and Riffat during my SF days, along with her brothers Sukhawat and Shafqat Ali Khan, both singers, the latter who tours all over the world as perhaps *the* standard bearer for their gharana (school/lineage.) Here I am with Shafqat and one of his sons after a concert in Montreal.

See Stasi informants in East Germany, Soviet tattlers to the KGB, North Korea, etc.

New additions to the studio: Roland TB-03 Bassline and 1010 Blackbox. Former slaved to the latter via analog clock. Will be integrated into both the CV/Eurorack and the Ableton Live MIDI sides of the studio. Sound here is via the mic of the Zoom recorder. Focal brand monitors.

Lovely mild sunny day to sit outside at the café. Book is a signed copy from the author whom I met last summer. Righteous dude.
