New gardens are taking shape, more fruit trees and flowers in several loads of bark, some compost and rocks from the local quarry, can't wait for spring 🌱

First prune, second round to come next dry spell. These trees were neglected for years, and 2 avocados shaded them, so they're being chopped back slowly as well.

New garden for potatoes, corn, a frame will go up towards the back for gourds and lettuce will grow underneath. Will build a frame over the whole thing over summer and cover it with shade cloth, as the sheep need to use this paddock to access the stock yards and our chickens r roaming 🌱

Reducing the size of the lawn, this area is full of daffodils, snowdrops and some bluebells, so we added in some trees and sown wildflowers. The chooks love scratching it up though so will see what comes through ☺️🌱

First time we've ever had a covered, or raised veg garden and we ❤️ it, the small seedlings in the front will be planted outside, most are tree Lucerne and kowhai to feed the Kereru (wood pigeon) 🌱

This was overgrown and the ground hard as rock, 7 months later after a clean out, two lots of free wood chips and some unused bits of timber that a local company sold cheaply, pots from our old place, driftwood and a new magnolia tree and it's starting to look tidy 🌱

Bought this property back in May, these hadn't been used for 5years and soil was like concrete..bit of water, straw, potash and the good stuff from the worm farm and it's back online 🌱
