I will be working on the welt pockets for my waistcoat! Hope that I will get to make the trousers this month too! I will be working on my Affirmations
My basic draft of my own tailored waistcoat with own calculations/formulas with my own measurements with welt pocket positioning on the front side of the waistcoat. Done some engineering skills. Own made tailored trousers with the hook and bar with a button in the waistband and a fly zip. The fabric is what I am going to work with. It is called “Yamarda” that I bought from Sherwood Fabrics.

The Small Person’s Dungarees Pattern Challenge. The pattern requires nine pieces of fabric, four for the legs, two for the bib, two more for the straps and one more for the waistband. The front of the legs, waistband and bib are sewn together. The back of the legs are sewn to the straps and then the front and back sections are sewn together. Dungaree clips are then added to the straps and bib and snap fasteners to the side seams. This is the pattern challenge: Pleated Skirt The fabric should match horizontally across four box pleats, two at the front and two at the back. The Cotton Sleeveless Top Pattern Challenge for the beginning of Series 2. The pattern comes in six sections - one for the front, and two for the back, and three pieces of supporting material known as facing. Darts are sewn into the front to give the top shape. The front and back pieces are stitched along the shoulder and the facing pieces are stitched to the reverse of the fabric, along the neck and arm holes. The two back pieces are then passed through the shoulder sections. The side seams are then sewn together, then the centre-back seam, and that’s topped with the hand-sewn button and loop.
