Finally finished! This book is an absolute must read for everyone. I knew some of the early history of Zimbabwe and Sudan but this comprehensive overview was so helpful & reinforced how many gaps there are in our history curriculum

Cannot recommend this book enough. Really appreciate how honest the author is not just with her experience but with her own failings. Being lucky enough to help my dad through his own (less complicated) transplant, this book really resonated.

First Africa focused book of 2025. An interesting narrative looking at the year of return as well as LGBT+ rights in Ghana. Especially timely given the renewed attacks on the community in Ghana
