For the generals yesterday, resistance meant total silence. And I thank them for it. But for the rest of us, silence is cowardice. Silence in the face of this daily onslaught against democracy, the rule of law, pluralism, the Constitution, and basic human decency is utter cowardice.

Republicans are doubling our insurance premiums. They are throwing 15 million people off their health care.

As a result, tens of thousands will unnecessarily die so that the 1% can get a trillion dollars in tax breaks.

Unacceptable. We cannot allow it.

Donald Trump is way less popular than he wants you to believe.

And you are significantly more powerful than he wants you to think.

The Big Beautiful Bill gives Meta a $15 billion check.

That’s more than our federal government spends on child care in an entire year.

If we invested that much in child care & early childhood education, we’d create stronger futures for everyone, not just Mark Zuckerberg.

If a foreign adversary snuck into our Federal budget and cut science research and education the way we’re cutting it ourselves — strategically undermining America’s long-term health, wealth, and security — we would likely consider it an act of war.

Sure, let’s dissect the mental and physical acuity of the former president who sought to make lives in America better while minimizing the reality of a deranged arsonist dismantling the country we’ve known and loved. What a failure to meet this moment.
