way less work than you'd expect! it's much faster for me than lining and base colouring and allows me to see shapes instead of lines when choosing hair strokes

I mostly keep the hair separated since there's a lot of it and it helps me to keep it on another layer! I'll usually apply lighting and shading to a folder, then apply it to each individual part, merge, and paint!
