A short drabble featuring Joe and Cherry from SK8 the Infinity. Kaoru heard his name, faint, but familiar. Pain shoots through his body before he dared to lift a finger. It’s a sensation that he’s wholly unfamiliar with, and though there’s a paralyzing soreness weighing down every limb, most of it is concentrated in his head and arm. Either way, it’s not a good sign. Suddenly there’s a presence kneeling beside him. Kaoru can’t open his eyes, the lights are blinding and it makes his head pound. But a familiar scent wafts through his nose, filling him with an immediate sense of calm. Kojiro. A continuation and ending: Kaoru gave him that cologne a few birthdays back. It came in a gift basket from a client of Kaoru’s, but he’s never been one to wear such things. Thus, it ended up in Kojiro’s possession after an argument about ‘regifting’ complimentary items. Lemongrass, hints of vanilla bean, and Kojiro’s natural musk made quite an enticing aroma. Not that Kaoru would ever admit that. He feels weightless when Kojiro gingerly lifts him off the ground and into his arms. Yet another reminder that those muscles aren’t just for show. Kojiro’s chest is solid and warm, though his heartbeat feels like it’ll jump out of his ribcage. He’s worried. Kaoru curls into him as much as he can, though he can feel himself slipping into unconsciousness. He wants to wake up to that same scent, and hopefully be able to thank the person attached to it for getting him to safety.

A short drabble featuring Kaveh and Alhaitham from Genshin Impact. “Is it so difficult to just say that you love me?” “I love you.” "Unprompted, you bastard.” Kaveh hisses, but his cheeks burn nonetheless. He folds his arms and mutters, “But say it again.” “No.” Kaveh throws up his hands, “Why? You just said it!” Alhaitham’s eyes narrow, “Did you forget your own words that quickly? Moments ago you admonished me for my timing then you ask for it in the same breath? You must recognize how absurd that is.” “Ignore that.” Kaveh walks around the kitchen table to where Al-Haitham is seated. He stands behind him, taking the time to get his hand underneath Alhaitham’s chin and tilt his head back. Kaveh bats his eyelashes, “Tell me you love me.” “No.” Kaveh's voice is still sugar sweet,“And why is that?” “Because I don’t want to. “Kaveh clicks his tongue with a scowl and turns away in a huff, heading straight toward the front door, “Fine. Whatever. I’m leaving.” A continuation and ending: “Keys.” Alhaitham says, picking them up off the table and holding it aloft with one finger. Kaveh growls and stomps back over to grab them. Alhaitham catches his wrist before he can snatch them, and pulls Kaveh down for a kiss. He can feel Kaveh trying to resist melting against him. “I love you.” Alhaitham whispers against Kaveh’s lips. Alhaitham watches in amusement as Kaveh swings wildly between anger and embarrassment, sputtering as he tries to find the words to say anything at all. He wrests his hand from Alhaitham’s hold, snagging the keys along the way. “You…insufferable—” Kaveh starts, jabbing a finger into Alhaitham’s chest. “The market will close soon if you don’t hurry.” Alhaitham’s attention is back on the book in his hand, “Collect your thoughts on the matter and yell at me once you’ve returned. There’s no telling how long it’ll take if I simply let you stand there.” "Liar. You'll just kiss me again if I linger." "I won't deny that." Kaveh makes a sound filled with indignation, "I won't give you the chance." He leaves before Alhaitham can say another word.

an #akiangel drabble
A short drabble featuring Aki and Angel from Chainsaw Man. “You smoke?” Angel wrinkles his nose, “No.” “Alright.” Aki gets one out for himself then fishes for his lighter inside his jacket pocket. It’s a cheap one from the 100 yen shop, so it takes some effort to ignite. Angel makes a soft sound of a surprise next to him. Aki pauses and looks his way. “Can I light it?” Angel says, looking between Aki and the little contraption in his hand, “I’ve never tried it before.” After safely handing it off, Aki gives him simple instructions: hold it upright, swipe down hard, and keep it lit. Angel practices a few times. He seems to like the "shk shk shk" sound of the little wheel and his wings puff up each time a flame comes to life. Aki hasn’t known him for very long, but he didn’t think something so mundane would spark his curiosity. As amusing as it is, time is short. He clears his throat. A continuation and ending: “Oh. Right.” Angel lifts the lighter up to Aki’s cigarette. Aki bends down a bit to meet Angel halfway. Aki takes a deep breath as the flame heats the end and the embers catch and creep along, leaving ash in its wake. He glances at Angel, who’s paying close attention to the task at hand, his usual neutral expression replaced by a deep concentration. This might be the first time he’s been this close to Angel’s face. And he doesn’t have any desire to look away either…that is, until their eyes meet and he feels like he’s been caught red-handed. The cigarette nearly falls out of his mouth. “Is this enough?” Angel asks, unaware of Aki’s unabashed staring. He quickly turns his head away to blow out the smoke, “Yeah, thanks.” A hand tugs his suit jacket open, slipping the lighter back where it came from. Aki tries to hide his surprise with a poorly disguised inhale, "That was fun. Can I light it next time, too?" Against his better judgement Aki agrees.
