I think getting kicked out of the job market is an economic issue. The government can’t fix racism, it can do a lot to make people’s lives better. Expanding opportunity and strengthening the social safety net will help all groups, but especially those that are marginalized. They are connected.

The party wants to crush anyone that is not in bed with its wealthy donors. The party is corrupt and needs to be torn down and then rebuilt with people who care about the poor and the middle class. It is that simple.

After watching the last few of Chapelle’s specials, I felt like I had been chastised by an angry fire breathing preacher. It isn’t comedy, it is moral outrage and the threat of damnation. All because he wants to make fun of trans people and smoke on stage. No thanks, take back the Twain award.

Their “history” is complete BS. Flight jackets were not designed for cold winters, they were designed for planes that were not pressurized or heated. It had nothing to do with “cold Russian winters”. These jackets disappeared as bombers became higher flying, pressurized and temp controlled.

Children are incubators. They say people who have children live longer (I think), it is probably because our immune systems are stronger due to exposure to every germ that comes out of an elementary school kid’s nose.

Is there a data set on the number of acquisitions and mergers over the past 10-15 years? I have been in manufacturing over that time and I have seen so many that I can’t even keep count and that is just in my industry.

It is disgusting that people are acting as this guy was anything but a hateful demagogue. The violence that we have seen lately in politics is a direct result of the hate that people like Kirk spewed on a daily basis.

Gun reform is needed, but it won’t stop most killings in America. We have long known that crime is directly linked to poverty. If we do nothing about a class of people that are stuck in poverty, then the violence will not stop. We need a reckoning on poverty and under education and we need it now.

get fed, educated, have medical care, and have hope for their future. Not just some kids, not just “our” kids, but all kids. The present needs our focus, not some past that we can’t hope to understand or recapture.
