"what were they trying to say" it feels wrong if me to watch something and not critically think back on it and the feelings I had and I feel like so many people just take their base feelings of a movie to heart when thinking about it even just a bit can give you back so much more

this is interesting because I don't see it as trying to see what makes a movie good I see it as trying to figure out what makes a movie resonant. when I was younger it was definitely more about "why is this good or bad" but now I'm more interested in "what did this make me feel" or 1/2
