I think there is another thing it comes down to, and that is the fact that people want Diana to have a female love interest. But if the Marston’s have taught us anything, it’s that you don’t have to date one person only.

Ironically, I think one of Steve’s most interesting qualities is just how normal he is. Don’t make him a charming, dashing pilot, just make him a guy.

True, but I kinda dislike how completely sexless post-crisis Wondy is. Like don’t get me wrong, it shouldn’t be a romance book, but given her origins, it feels a bit like they overcompensated.

If they kill Steve, it is far likelier that Diana will be demoted to Superman’s or Batman’s gf than she will start dating a woman. Steve is the dam and WonderBat shippers are the flood.
