Another reread, tho I haven't opened this since high school. I've never read the original comic run, but from what I've heard this is just as compelling. The debate is a lil cartoony but depending if you read it as super powers = guns, or superheroes = minorities, it feels more relevant than ever

This was a weird interaction. You can clearly see Daisy is ahead of me and I go from 2nd to 1st when I pass her, but despite her crossing the finish line right after she ends up in last place

It's hard to recommend this, even for the time it was written it's pretty racist. But when the book isn't focused on "the blacks", there's a lot of funny moments and cool imagery. It's not complicated by any means, but the ending caught me off guard with how much I liked it. Still VERY racist tho

Genuinely surreal holding this. I remember buying the original Switch the day I finished my high school exams, that was eight years ago but it feels like yesterday. Can't wait to boot this thing up later tonight 🤘

This book feels like three separate post-apocalypse stories back-to-back-to-back, and while the middle with John Dark is engaging the other two fell flat for me. The last few chapters are full of so many twists which felt kind of hollow. Also they should have killed all the breeder freaks
