For me the comparison has always been the 23-24 season since that’s the highest point tally we’ve achieved recently. Could you please post a comparison with that too?

I do think Jesus, Saka, Trossard, and now Noni are our fun attackers. But the issue is it’s hard to be fun when the opponent constantly sits back and has two to gang up on each of them. Still we see them take their man on and create something.

On the other hand, we have lost leagues being ahead so every single setback is just a painful reminder, as if the team is expected to win every game to avoid another heartbreak. So I don’t really disagree with you but I just felt the context around the discourse this time was mentality…

I just meant to point out that I think a lot of the arguments that I’ve read were to do about giving up. Someone pointed out that if it were city, their fans wouldn’t be grumbling so much because they’ve see their team come back and win from X many points behind the leaders at the time.

I don’t disagree with you. If you’ve paid your money you’re entitled to do what you want with your ticket. This falls along the same lines as criticising “tourists” for the lack of “support” when they’ve paid the same price as any other.

But if I’m being honest, I felt as if people left because we conceded the goal and were “fed up” with the team rather than wanting to leave early to avoid the crowd. So I felt like the criticism about this was more directed towards giving up on the team rather than transport related.

I wish this were true cause I know plenty of people around my age who get upset because rival fans banter them about Ødegaard, which helps them form their opinion on him

I also believe a lot of our fans fall into rival fans’ rage bait. There was this video going around captioned ‘Ødegaard knows how to make himself look busy’ or some shit like that which really stirs up sentiment against him unfortunately.

Maybe Eze in central areas is the only way to get the best out of him offensively while not asking too much of him defensively? Not sure what you think but I do see a noticeable difference in the way Trossard/Martinelli track back compared to him.
