I keep thinking about how libraries smell, like crayon wax and dusty book jackets, old dried ink and paper. It’s a warm smell and it might as well be eternal. The same to me in the 90s, doors so heavy I couldn’t open them on my own. These days I am there by coincidence more than purpose.
