He was so proud of our house and being a gracious host anytime we had people over for even the most casual gathering. I'm so grateful we got our several trips together, especially Norway and this so recent Mexico vacation, and we had plans for so many more including Prague and a return to Norway. 4/

I was so happy to see him become more confident and silly and comfortable in his world.

He loved music and art and film and architecture, he loved our silly cats to a ridiculous degree, and we so often remarked to one another how much we loved our home and our life and marriage together. 3/

We both so loved doing little things to make each other happy at every opportunity.

It was my joy and privilege to be his wife and partner, to create a home and a life together where we could both feel safe and comfortable and free to be our best most joyous and loving selves. 2/

It is with unmeasurable sadness that I announce the unexpected death of my partner and love, Michael Ruzicka, on Monday. I know nobody sweeter and kinder and more generous. He did everything in his power to make others' lives easier and better. 1/?
