The adults, like the one I saw in October, find nests of other birds and displace those eggs and lay their own, and then let the other birds raise the young as their own, often neglecting their own natural babies to keep up with these huge strange #birds

This one is a Little Stint (with lots of zoom and lots of heat haze), which are rarely reported in Melbourne despite being here annually (probably), bc they’re so similiar to a red necked stint #birds
