I am very, very angry right now. And I’m frightened. Not so much for me but for my children. I am mother to three+ amazing adults, and between us, we represent the trans, ace, autism, and ADHD Communities. Some of us in more than one. Math teacher.

I went to high school in Sacramento. Right around 1977, 1978 depending on the time of year. The teachers went on strike so the students decided to march in solidarity with the teachers. It was a good day.

ICE staying at the Westin and Hotel Dena, with similar protests taking place. ICE didn't make any arrests in Pasadena, but they did slither around the hotels asking workers about their legal status. The City of Glendale terminated their contract to house ICE detainees.

I feel for the protesters, but I am proud of Dallas. Make no mistake, Dallas is on Trump’s hit list along with LA. I’m singing the Dallas song. I learned in middle school now. Big D Little a double l a s.

I’m sorry. I hope to convince my son to move, and help him any way I can. It’s hard to leave friends and found family but….Texas is trying to make his existence a felony. Sometimes you have to leave everything behind and take a chance. I did 11 years ago when I moved from Texas.
