Pic is of the front of a piece of 8 by 11 inch notepad paper. It has the majority of a Lawerence Ferlinghetti poem called Eight People on a Golf Course and One Bird of Freedom Flying Over (1975). The last few lines of the poem are on the back of the paper as shown in the accompanying pic. The back also has a cheesecake recipe called “Company Cheesecake.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I’ve had this forever and it never disappoints. After a Labor Day picnic thrown by the restaurant owners I worked for a long time ago, I asked a girl who worked with us over the summer for her cheesecake recipe. She was headed off to her freshman year in college. I think her name was Natalie. I spent very little time with her that summer. I barely knew her. On her last day, she handed me this. She said she got the recipe for the cheesecake from one of her mother’s old cookbooks, but she thought I’d like this poem too. She was right. I never saw her again. I’ve never made the cheesecake.
