I want to remind you all that what precedents we allow to be set against the smallest of us can be turned and pointed against the rest of us.

So, whether it is for compassion, empathy, and shared humanity; or at the very least for pragmatism and foresighted self-protection ...

As such, they are deserving of the same rights, protections, and freedoms as the rest of us.

However, as one of the smallest minorities and one of the easiest to strawman and other, they are being systematically targeted in ways that reduce their agency, liberty, identity, and security.

They are human beings and fully deserving of the rights and dignity inherent to their humanity. For my fellow Christians, they are still image bearers - the fact that their gender identity is not congruent with their physical body does not diminish this.

What do you like to read? Most of my recs end up being fantasy, published from 80s - 00s, purely because I haven't had as much time to read since starting university in the 10s and life afterwards
