You can pick up DMGs (OG, Pocket or Color), GBAs or NDS, stock or modded. You can emulate 'em on any handheld console. Or pick up an Anbernic. Or even an Analogue Pocket if you want a premium portable MiSTer FPGA.

There are far better options to play Game Boy games than supporting ModRetro. Period.

And what a trip! O_O This story mode has left me with a lot of positive emotions that I gotta piece my thoughts together on a separate thread.

Completed my first out of the five checklists in Kirby Air Riders today~!

I threw myself online since day one and as soon as I noticed I was making some big progress on that checklist, I focused on completing it first. Had some good fun playing online!

However, I gotta dab into Road Trip big time!

All in all, I love this game. This has been not just an emotional trip down memory lane but also a reinforcement of my mantra of holding dear the things you feel passionate about. And, lo and behold, we are getting a sequel 21 years later!

Seen as unfinished business, I decided to do the remaining 10 tasks in Air Ride, most of 'em from Time Attack.

The video shows the moment I unlocked the last challenge in Frozen Hillside after beating its target time of 2:50.00, and completing at last the whole panel. Wheelie Scooter, my beloved <3

Loading up my save file felt like stepping into a time capsule. As seen on the records screen from Air Ride, my experiences with the game can be traced from 2004 all the way until 2012.

However, while going thru all the modes' checklists, I noticed I still had 10 tasks left to complete in Air Ride.

Racing on the lush racetracks in Air Ride, doing some quick yet fun matches in Top Ride, powering up my machines and throwing myself into challenges in City Trial...

The experience playing thru all three game modes felt just as fun and exhilarating as the first time I booted this game 21 years ago.

As we are nearing the launch of Kirby Air Riders, I decided to revisit the original GameCube game over the past few days.

This right here is my childhood copy of the game. It has a big sentimental value to me as it was the very first Kirby game I have ever bought at launch (26th February 2024).

I have participated on the Classicvania Challenge for the first time with three 1CCs across CV I, III and IV and it has been a total blast!

Thank you to @dot-lvl.bsky.social, @turnipjuice.bsky.social and @mocha.quest for making this incredible event. Looking forward to do more runs next year~! ★

Hey folks~! So a quick update on the streaming project. While I have found a few tech issues that I need to iron out before launch, the graphical assets such as the overlay and PNGTuber model are starting to take shape.

Here is a I'il WIP on the overlay backgrounds. Welcome to my humble abode~! :3
Work in progress illustration of Kaabii's house to be featured on the upcoming Twitch channel. The overall design is based on Kirby's house from the video game Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The house has an overall orange color tone on the flooring, walls and ceilings, and is furnished with a comfy bed, a large round table with a purple cushion next to it, a big fireplace, a TV bench with a cosy bean bag chair sitting alongside, and decorated with some plants and a terrarium across the room.

One of my favorite Sonic games too~! I liked their approach on platforming / exploration and how the time travelling mechanics altered the levels, plus those Mode 7-like special stages were amazing!

I do agree both US and JP/EU soundtracks have their merits but I have a soft spot for the latter. <3

Virtual Boy coming out on Nintendo Classics is an oddity in line to what I'd expect Nintendo to pull, so I shall see if I'll cave in on its accessory.

But I think my biggest expense is gonna be on the amiibos - especially on the Air Ride series. My poor wallet is already begging for mercy... ;_;

Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, while I am happy they are coming out remastered, I am conflicted on how they are being released. I wish they could have repurposed 3D All-Stars since I feel Galaxy 2 belonged there from the start.

But I get it - Mario movie tie in. Which I look forward to watch next year!
