We got our CPAP machine today! Also the sleep study results, it’s for sure severe sleep apnoea 😅 looking forward to getting used to sleeping with it and hopefully feeling better #NEISVoid #disability

Our PIP review letter arrived and is good news and I’m so relieved, the process is always so horrific and this is an overwhelmingly positive outcome

I got to see the CAD drawings of my new wheelchair today! I can’t wait to actually get it. The time between ordering a chair and getting it is the most anxiety inducing #NEISVoid #disability #wheelchair

Turns out I don’t need to chase up the sleep study results, got an appointment letter this morning to start CPAP soon. Feeling a little anxious about it #NEISVoid

My brain is currently fixated on fun little songs like the axolotl song and the goose song and it’s bringing me so much joy

It’s big sleepy time, really interested to get the results of our sleep study honestly? Need to chase them up soon

I actually have managed to sort out being able to get a new wheelchair that’s finally going to be the right measurements (hopefully) and have the back support and cushion that I need. Got a call tomorrow about it but!! Very exciting

Also learning to do filet crochet! It’s really fun, did this this afternoon once I worked out how to do the patterns on Procreate!

We have had progress with the adaptions to our flat! We have now seen the plans and were able to ask for some adjustments to them, it’s very exciting!

Happy holidays to anyone celebrating today!

I’m meant to have a sleep study next week but I can feel myself starting to be ill so I’m probably going to have to cancel

I’m so exhausted

Just finished a two hour long therapy session and wow was that needed but wow was that intense 😅

My new medication I started for POTS is absolutely wild. Usually my heart rate doesn’t dip under 100 all that much while I’m awake, but it hasn’t gone over 100 since I started the meds. I’m used to it being 150+ when I’m out, not like 80 😅 #disability #NEISVoid

Currently switching AAC apps from TD Snap to Proloquo2go, which means I get to fully customise everything again, this feels like both a task and a reward #AAC #autistic #disability

Dissociation can make us feel nothing.

But it doesn’t mean we’re secretly dreadful or don’t care about anyone or anything.

We’re just offline for a while, waiting until it’s safer to reboot.

Sometimes therapy is really fucking intense and still somehow my therapist manages to make us feel at least vaguely alright enough before it’s time to end and it’s truly wonderful

I had an appointment this morning to get my abdominal binder, which we’re hoping will help manage some of my POTS symptoms!

Have been able to book in to get some adjustments done to my new wheelchair that’s hopefully going to mean I have a functional chair / backup if my current chair breaks any more than it is! Once it’s adjusted I’ll get to customise it aesthetically too which is exciting

It’s sometimes validating to be told you’re medically complex, but also very frustrating. Like I’m glad you don’t think I’m making it up, but I don’t want to be a “challenge” or “complicated” I just want to not be ill / not have these symptoms #NEISVoid
