So here's a scored version. The 3 parts of the melody are aligned in score so the harmony can be seen. The first verse text survive in several notated copies dating back to the mid-16th C. The second and third verses occur in a single, text only source.

My current project is exploring the practice of catch-singing in the 16th/early17thC. Such a diverse project from drinking songs to psalm-singing to street cries. I'm also having a lot of fun singing these songs with singers of all ages around Newcastle : hosting2.northumbria.ac.uk/singafterme/

Tudor Partbooks project (www.tudorpartbooks.ac.uk) introduced me to so many wonderful music MSS. My favourites were the messy, multilayered 'Hammond partbooks' whose earliest layer I showed to be the only complete manuscript of Protestant service music from the first decades of Elizabeth's reign

My first book was on music at the court of Queen Elizabethan I, looking at how music was used as a political tool not only by the Queen herself but also by those around her (boydellandbrewer.com/978178327403...)
