While making us think that we're actually choosing what we're given.I think this last election is the one that made it feel the most obvious for both sides really. It honestly didn't feel any less like a coronation on the left, it just would have been a better person in the job. it's still fucked up

I know I come off as snarky and pissy and don't get me wrong I am snarky and pissy, but there's a well thought out reason behind it even if I don't express myself in the kindest of fashions. The system is designed to fuck we the people right in the booty hole and I don't think that's right.

Like I'm a DJ and a telecom engineer. Not a political science major. And even I can see that this system is absolutely fucked. It's blatantly engineered to give an illusion of choice while making sure that establishment power stays establishment power.

And yes I know we didn't do a primary in 2024, I was referring to 2020, but it's been an exhausting run so I didn't exactly lay that out like I should have.
My main point is the current system is a fucking catastrophe that only serves to keep the current dynasties in power.

It actually seems to work in the establishments favor honestly to keep it this screwed up. Not being able to show up for primaries to help get candidates we actually want on the ballot leads voters to vote for a third party candidate just because they don't like the two main candidates or abstain.

Because as it's built currently it's really only the illusion of choice. The part of the process where the people's voice matters the most, where we pick our candidates, is in no way set up in such a way as every single citizen can easily participate. The entire process is archaic and kind of dumb.

But a lot of people also just chose not to participate. We need a system that either allows for some sort of digital participation or mail-in participation like mail-in voting, or a national holiday so that people can show up to these primaries to support candidates they actually want

I have a fairly close family friend who is way more politically active than I will ever be who works with the DNC primary coordinating here in Colorado. And apparently the turnout was abysmal. And to be fair like 100% Fair, that's not entirely the people's fault. Like me a lot of people had to work.

Thats why I said what I said. For as pissed off as people got about how Kamala was picked, they sure as fuck didn't bother to show up for Biden in the primary. Or anyone else. I mean literally all people had to do was show up at primaries for another candidate. And they didn't. It was rubber stamped
