After the Burning Sun and Nth Room incidents, many women fought to punish sexual crimes, but it is scary and sad that it has regressed even further.

Following the UN's recommendation, some progressive parties tried to introduce non-consensual rape several times, but it was thwarted due to excessive opposition from young men, and as a result, even the existing precedents have regressed.

- Rape not guilty. Why? If you look at the victim's SNS conversation with her friend after being raped, She doesn't act like a 'victim'.

- Rape not guilty. Why? Because it is unclear whether the assault or intimidation was so severe that the victim could not resist. (Yes, since non-consensual rape has not been introduced in Korea, rape is only recognized if there is severe assault and intimidation that the victim cannot resist.)

- Sexual assault not guilty. Why? Because the perpetrator had a good social reputation at the golf course.

- Rape not guilty. Why? Because there is a 'possibility' that the victim (child) lied because she didn't want to take the class.

Look at recent rape cases in Korea:

- Rape not guilty. Why? Because the victim had previously had sex with the perpetrator. (This case involved the perpetrator entering the victim's home without permission and raping the victim while she was unconscious.)

(For reference, the current administration's presidential election pledges were 'abolishment of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family' and 'strengthening punishment for false accusation of sexual crimes'.)

Also, if the victim does not have a 'victim-like attitude', they are not recognized as a victim.

If that happens, the victim will be punished for false accusation and obstruction of official duties, and even have to pay damages to the rapist.

Recently, the rape punishment law in Korea is regressing again... Due to some precedent, it has become difficult to be recognized as a rape victim in Korea without providing evidence such as 'video' of the rape. (But what kind of victim would film themselves being raped??)
