I’m not disputing that parliament is sovereign but that subsection doesn’t assert such, rather leaves the “commitment” undisturbed. Which in the context of that legislation is proper, but not a general assertion of sovereignty, more an allocation of powers as between the branches of government

I like this approach. But perhaps a general assertion of parly supremacy in legislation would be pretty controversial itself

But he doesn’t want equal rights. The whole thing is a lie, we have the HRA and BORA already. It’s just an easy way to frame an argument “if you disagree with me you’re against equality”. It’s bullshit but insidious bullshit.
