It is much better on mobile now! When I would show others VOACAP I used to have to remind them of the cool plots it could make from the menus at the bottom. I think the placement and interface is much easier now. Great work!

The proper thing to do would be to use some pulleys to avoid abrasion on the rope, but the fix is quick and painless enough that I just haven't put in the effort.

Sweet! This fixes one of my biggest pain points with using VOACAP online. Thanks for all of the work you put into this excellent tool!!

I had to remove the PCB to get to the cap, which was a bit of a pain. The capacitor swap was a quick job.

After assembly I tested the tuner with internal and external dummy loads, and then calibrated the meters. It seemed to work well.

These are going to two friends who are newly licensed.

The balun had also been removed. I think they probably considered it junk and scavenged it for the core. Likely why there are two in the collection.

Everything else seemed to be okay, so I had a go at repairing it. Especially because I happened to have a match for the cap on hand.

I think I'll keep playing with loop antennas. Maybe make it a bit more refined than some junk taped to dowels.

For a proof of concept, it was very successful!

It is likely interacting with the window and perhaps other things within the wall. I hung it up where the curtains were, tuned to a POTA spot on 14MHz, and gave it a shot. Had them in the log 3 calls later using 5W.

I didn't really expect this setup to work that well.
