Insane to think this was the first time I ever voted. My first ever interaction with UK politics as an adult, still in SCHOOL.
I voted remain and watched what felt like the whole country and my own parents vote against me.

9 years ago tonight, I was in the Blackheath Army Cadet centre watching the votes come in ... as a Remain observer in the EU referendum.
Few nights in my life have ever been so utterly depressing and I don't think I've ever really looked at my country or fellow citizens in quite the same way.

Adding onto this, the people who prefer manual curation to algorithms are probably less likely to be *daily* users - they probably use social media less on average.
Not only is the target audience already smaller, but I’d bet they’re also less likely to engage as intensely!
