Testing the atl text thing again. Spent the weekend at the pool. Only 3 meltdowns between the two 5 year olds, only one from my child. Zero genealogy accomplished, bc eyes on the water, which started out around 67°F(🐧cold🐧) from rain all week, then by late yesterday it was up to 75°F(🐬chilly🐬)

My little brother Rusty. I'm cat sitting for my parents, he's been here before but my human kiddo was not as loud or mobile last time. Russ came out of hiding at breakfast and accepted a treat from the boy, which is progress!

February wrapup from @thestorygraph.com
Weyward: DV SA, I got thru, can't recommend
Heavenly Tyrant: long, I guess I'm not a fan of war stuff/battles, Iron Widow was great.
The Frozen River: I found by the famous last minute Libby search "audiobook, available now" & would recommend caution DV, SA.

Started listening to "The Frozen River" while sifting compost for seed starting & later making dinner. Avoiding spoilers. Based on a real life midwife's diary from early USian Maine (family history tie in!) & put a hold request in for that too. #genealogy #booksky 📚💙

"and to my adopted daughter, Edith C. Noyes who acts ungrateful for all I have done for her, and does not come to see me, I give the sum of one dollar ($1.00)"

No relation, just found it one day and thought it was hilarious.

On the first no snow, snow day I dug out some #scrapbooking supplies from the Target spot circa 2008 and made this little Valentine's Day scrap book with my neighbor's kids. They had a blast.

Unrequested review: the Tazo chai concentrate in the box is weak. This Tazo tea bag is the closest thing I've found to getting out the box of Red Label and grinding a ton of spices. Much quieter too.

Accomplished a thing for a friend! 🧵🪡🧷🐧added some stretch to these cute thrifted kids size penguin cords with a piece out of some thrifted pants, using momma's 1973 Singer machine. The alterations shop told her it couldn't be done. Bwahahaha 🏆

Ice covered Camelia
One of my favorite places in SoCal is Pasadena and the nearby Huntington Library and gardens. There's an entire Camelia garden, it's the first place I ever saw them and I was so excited when we found our house in GA that we have this one. It blooms from Oct- Feb.
