Getting it first doesn’t mean getting it right. But what you hear for the first time has staying power. While trusted sources are slower because they verify, malicious actors can shape the narrative with incorrect content.

Communication specialists are becoming security experts. As security partnerships, alliances and assurances need to be reevaluated, countries also need to find ways to talk about security with their citizens, pitching preparedness and resilience so fear and panic don't dominate the discussion.
