#100DayProject - day 98 - Cut some notches into my sculpture to hold my fused glass discs, but it made it pretty messy. I will have to work out where the notches should go, how to keep them 1/4” wide,then use the plasma cutter to make them.

#100DayProject - day 88 - Welded my first sculpture combined with fused glass. It still needs to be treated to avoid rust, so I’ll need to decide what color I want. My next one will be bigger, made of thicker metal to support bigger glass, and have less metal in sun to let glass be seen more.

#100DayProject - day 87 - Took a class on welding to be certified on the maker space equipment. Here’s my welds that day. My biggest issue is seeing well. I’m going to buy a shade to block light coming from behind, and get a “cheater lens” for the helmet in hopes of seeing better.

#100DayProject - day 86 - The fused glass disk out of the kiln. Red was darker than I’d planned, but still nice color with the light behind it.

#100DayProject - day 84 - I bent a couple metal things with my jig. I also messed up my grinder, somehow loosened a wire on my MIG welder, and gave up when everything stopped working. Later, my spouse fixed it all - thanks!

#100DayProject - day 83 - I made a rudimentary jig to do radius bending on sheet metal. It isn’t perfect, but it worked well enough for my needs. It’s an angle iron welded to two pivot pins on the side of the work table, and a pipe clamped to the top of the table.

#100DayProject - day 81 - Went to add layers of green transparent papers, but I didn’t have any I thought worked, so I directly rolled on green paint with star stencils then added yellow. I will need to buy a second gel plate for this situation!
