State based actions will check the devotion when all the creatures come in before the ETBs even hit the stack, Purphoros will become a creature and Dress Down says, “Hey that’s not a new ability you gained and creatures lose all abilities” so no ability, no damage.

2) Will he lose his abillites to Dress Down after devotion is checked because he was not a creature prior?
3) The ETB damage goes on the stack or not because he is a creature but with no abilities, or isn't a creature yet and therefore gets the triggers.

I’d probably talk about either Mono White Landfall (how do you do landfall in a highly under supported landfall color)
Or Chaos Bello. I stand by the fact that it’s the best (and worst version) of Bello. 🦝
