It's one of my favorites because it does not force you into a build, in fact it occasionally forces you to adapt to circumstances

literally the best kart racer, I've never had one kick my ass quite as hard but also be so forgiving and having so many rebound utilities

Weird, controller works fine for me (Xbox Series X). Did you check both the keybinds and the controller menus?
