TBC I adore this series, and generally regard the romance as the weakest narrative link of the series, but I still excuse most of my issues with it because it is so dear to me anyway and I was 11 once. And it really is very good in so many ways. I only have this criticism bc I've read it so much.

Tonight I went off about the unaddressed cultural Christianity of the main character using 'Hellfire!' as an Exclamation in his internal monologue. Friendo used this as an opportunity to shill Brian Sanderson to me, again. lol
