Ein Junge aus Spandau war an Diphtherie erkrankt und über Monate stationär im Krankenhaus beatmet worden. Nun ist er gestorben. Der Zehnjährige war gegen die Krankheit offenbar nicht geimpft.

Glad to see our paper published in J. Virology. We found out that mutations in the S protein of MERS-CoV could enhance its cleavage but is not likely to increase its entry into lung cells and therefore its infectivity.
