Talk to me about pies, space suits, or Texas.
Also, this is more fantasy/magical realism (romance first), but Freya Marske's The Last Binding trilogy would be a really easy thing to download onto Kindle and read on and off while you're traveling. The last book is my fave, but it's all a delightful, queer, Edwardian romp.

If you haven't read Freya Marske's Last Binding trilogy, it's very gay and very good!

Hi (you don't know me but I love your knitting posts)! Fantastic book recs here so I'll throw in a movie- try Nimona on Netflix. Very futuristic (but with fairytale tropes to subvert), queer, antihero, extremely approachable for kids, visually gorgeous.

My dad once went camping with a friend who'd never been to Big Bend and was looking forward to seeing the stars Dad had been talking up for years, and who was then really annoyed with the huge cloud blocking his view the first night.

How did you shape them before the final rise? They might have just been too thick in the center. When I make sufganiyot I roll out the dough to about 1/2" thick before using a biscuit cutter (or wine glass) to make discs.
