I find that stuff like this happens in VNs a lot. It's awful when they just randomly behave like that, but what's even worse is when you choose a dialogue option that you think is normal and they make it way different. E.g. "ask her if she's ok" turns into "watch where you're going dumb fuck"

To be fair they may have wanted to chat or connect in another way. It doesn't have to be about whether someone's close enough for you to zip over to their place and shag them. (I'm just saying it as I see it I dunno the context, simply basing it on that image.)
