Today's hearing on Scutari's bill was an example of New Jersey politics at its worst -- Democratic leadership fighting their constituents.

Today's hearing on Scutari's bill was an example of New Jersey politics at its worst -- Democratic leadership fighting their constituents.
The proposed legislation and the manner in which the chair conducted the hearing is a perfect example of the worst of American politics today, with the added treat that it was the Democratic chair and sponsor ignoring their Democratic (and Republican) constituency.

Ok, another unsurprising self-centered move by someone in the current administration, but maybe the Times to do some reporting on how the junior enlisted military expect to feed their families.

He has no idea how easily he is being manipulated and no one is going to tell him.

Unless it was hidden by the ads, I didn’t see where any of the representatives were asked to explain their vote.

A lot of us are scared, showing up at protests, calling our representatives. People are disappearing. Health care is being dismantled. Bombs are dropping. The indifference of the Dem leadership tells us we are on our own.

I grew up in a small town in PA with a Raybestos plant. Occasionally, white flakes would cover the town. My grandmother's, an inspector at the plant, death certificate gives asbestosis as the cause of death.

They can, but they won't. They have never overruled the Korematsu decision (Japanese internment during WWII), but they did kind of repudiate it 74 years later.
