What galls me most is that the antichrists (plural!) in the Johannine epistles probably refer to degenerate grifters like Trump, not some ultimate evil, especially not the Protestant fan fiction one.

First two-ish seasons are fun, more the first than the second, but it gets (way more) up its own ass after that.

Part of it is that Mark Hamill is just a really good actor, and that fact carries Luke way further than any of the writing does. He's a cipher played by a really charismatic performer.

Makes me think of how word-processing software isn't fundamentally all that different from what was sold in the 2000s. There are QOL upgrades, sure, but you can live without them. They're always working to create the illusion that newer-is-better. I'm still surprised MS hasn't gone the Adobe route.

All else aside, you really can see how much Musk yearns to be seen as cool by the way he talks, except his idea of hip is mostly just mid-2000s memes about Vin Diesel.

Our election in BC last month was decided by less than a few 100 votes! And the winners got a majority after winning a seat by less than 30!
