Writer, editor, illustrator. I’m fond of vampires, but I don’t know how they feel about me. He/Him. Quack.
Previously, no one in history has desired *less* potable water. One could even argue that the course of civilization has been largely determined by where you can find and how you can make clean water. But THESE nimrods...

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to five years (at minimum) of Calgary school ghouls running the country, but I don't *fear* PP like I would Trump if I lived down south.

Part of it is that Mark Hamill is just a really good actor, and that fact carries Luke way further than any of the writing does. He's a cipher played by a really charismatic performer.

Makes me think of how word-processing software isn't fundamentally all that different from what was sold in the 2000s. There are QOL upgrades, sure, but you can live without them. They're always working to create the illusion that newer-is-better. I'm still surprised MS hasn't gone the Adobe route.

“I’m just like you!”
“Isn’t that horrible?!”

Fred Clark of Slacktivist noted for many years that many right-wing evangelicals are effectively just LARPers who yearn to be righteous heroes fighting the Devil. All the libelous stories they tell about abortion and LGBT people are meant to titillate, not horrify

All else aside, you really can see how much Musk yearns to be seen as cool by the way he talks, except his idea of hip is mostly just mid-2000s memes about Vin Diesel.

Our election in BC last month was decided by less than a few 100 votes! And the winners got a majority after winning a seat by less than 30!
