For those who can still navigate time and human community, I share from the oblivion of its absence.

Of all the portraits I hung above my door-side, kneeling place of humble prayer and preparatory ritual, only this small prayer stayed aloft.

The others linger, dissheveled, lost.
taped to the wall is a folded piece of paper that reads a glyph-based language. "o pini e ike. o misikeke taso. ike pini." below is a ceramic urn, various pieces of art scattered and leaning agianst the wall around it, among wires, a jar with a torn label from another product, and two packages of a product used in solitary ritual to survive the damage of the mind.

A hubbub forms on the valley's floor. It was forgotten, maybe, what started the argument. As always, of late, it was one person against everyone else there. The guards of the King had their batons alight, and just as the crow flies the ornithauts arrived. The person at the center of the ring of peasants was accused. "You stole!" The speaker's voice is muffled by their encasmeent, so it comes through as a powerful shout. "I needed the tool," she says, the jab of a baton-blast puppetting her abdomen. "This mount is of offerings to your King. You stole from the King Himself, and admit it!" "The quill, the quill was needed," and another blast, this time upon her upper back, unseen, bringing the rag-torn, fleaborne woman to her knees. "The King Himself will deal with you. His Blade has Severed Twenty Million and by the end of annuum He intends to Sever Scores as more." "The tool was needed," she says, mouth full now of dust and gravel. "The tool was needed; I cannot repent. The quill is all we had," now in a whisper, "I face it." ~ Seventy-five bell-rings rang out the next two days. The peasants in the 'clave knew well that one note's meaning: the Sword Of The Torn had taken its claim. Amidst the rubble of the onslaught let by Knights, a prickly girl sees a green feather. The quill in question, never even recovered. Covered now in soot and char, the metal part, and stem, remain intact. With its sharp calligraphic tip she pierces her arm's skin, and begins anew her people's record of their death.

A seriously kitted-out lance user in Monster Hunter Wilds stands before Alma in their shared space at the desert canyon camp. Without much expression - other than the malice of an immortal half-dragon genetically engineered to protect humans against their own demons - she asks: "Alma, I'm too autistic to figure out how to defeat Fascism. What do I do?" Alma, hands on her lap, patiently looks up into the Hunter's glowing eyes and says, "I'm here to help."

more times i see myself hunt the big monster (and do it really well) i can honestly believe that we can defeat capitalist greed (and warmongering) (and lies myths profit tune death machine) it's a different method... and a different reality. but i know LOVE and triumph over DUNG. come on lifeforms!!

I was a pretty lonely kid and "raised" by games made by thoughtful people, usually Japanese games. So I reminisce. I aspire to make art as well as my favorite artists do. It's not about the "visuals" or "quality" but the heart.

I just wrote this note on another platform so archiving.

I love Monster Hunter. Even if the world outside ends for a lot of us, I am really glad that I got to experience the wonderful games made in this series. There is something so sensitive and quiet about the little details that often go overlooked. It's not a game about hunting only. It's a game about a world where despite it all, people band together to pursue what they love. There have always been little stories like that, and it's not always a serious game. However, it makes me cry. I can't explain. The little expressions, or dialogue, and the settings and characters just going about their lives in this world... I feel like I'm already dead. There is seemingly very little sanity or goodness in this world. But in that world, I can see a beauty and humanity that I know is possible.

The hunter's felyne friend, known as a Palico, helps out with hunting and gathering. However, they are also a very talented crafter. Every doodad in the tent is something they made. They're often inventing new mechanical devices.

You can play together, but it's nuanced.

Sometimes, a nap is enough.

Alma is a researcher. She likes tea, books, and collecting artifacts. Her favorite is this head-sized rock that looks like a face. I wonder if it was a gift, or a fossil.

Nata's life is terrible. I'm glad she's talking about him doing something other than sit there by my tent all day.

i know my MCE means that i need to focus on saving the world (an impossible task for just one girl) and as a result i feel a lot of shame for enjoying life at all, anything about it. when all is immersed in sorrow. however. i found out. you can ask Alma what's on her mind *if Erik is your handler.*
I ship my hunter with Alma. They are lesbians. The relationship is allowed. As long as she's not the handler. Thank you, Erik.
