I’m spending the holiday with my grandparents in their assisted living facility, and I can’t figure out if I’m more surprised that my grandfather introduced his friend to me as Blind Dave or his nemesis to me as MAGA Bob

Pleased to report that the end of episode 2 of the new season of Vanderpump Rules may be a series high? A man who dreams of being Flynn Ryder in the live action Tangled gives a lap dance to his coworker who is ten years younger than him while two women weep in the background.

ICE using tear gas and tackling protestors is also political violence. The death penalty is also political violence. Sending bombs to countries committing genocide is also political violence. The fact that the state is doing it doesn’t make it not violent, and makes it obviously political.

Charlie Kirk said I should be stoned because I’m gay. He said it proudly and publicly. If you believe that is practicing politics the right way, then you are sending me a very clear message about how much my right to life is part of your political worldview.

“awful people don’t deserve to be killed, but they don’t deserve to be praised, either” is apparently a thought too complex for the pundit mind

Not trying to comment on any specific person’s art but more on the reaction to it when I say that gay people need to learn that if you’re going to be a bitch as a joke, the joke should be funny!

I believe that in the timeline where they didn’t change the way Sonic looked after the backlash, the movie flopped and then Trump died of COVID

Empathy can be extremely helpful in helping someone recover once they’ve decided to recover. It can be helpful to avoid feeling angry and bitter when you have to cut someone out of your life. It’s utterly useless as a tool of convincing someone to be a better person.
I think this comes from a good place but I disagree. A common thread in deradicalization stories is stigma: Once people start losing friends and jobs they reconsider their beliefs.

Obviously you should try to be nice to people but you also need to draw a line where you won’t engage anymore.

Tony Gilroy is so real for watching Return of the Jedi and seeing a woman with a severe haircut and thinking “I’m going to make her one of the most interesting people in this whole universe”
