Sorry for the blurry photo. I was pretty excited when I caught this brook trout in Western Wisconsin today. Usually you don't see them this big because the invasive brown trout drive them away and eat them. Last fish of the day and it sure made my day!

Turned out be be a picture perfect day yesterday, to try a new to me, spring fed trout stream in Grant County, WI. One of the nicest trout streams I've fished in WI. Water was a chilly 51°. The land owner not only allowed people to cross their land, but had a path mowed to make it easier to get to.

This hole on a trout stream, I've only fished a few times, got me yesterday. Much deeper with a stronger current than expected. Water went up over the top of my waders as my feet pushed out from uder me due to the current. Glad I had my staff to stop myself from falling! 😅 Beautiful stream though!
