I think that’s one of the reasons American produced anime feel so weird. They just feel like they’re trying so hard to be with this notion of what anime is and has to be that it comes across as sterile.

Schnee’s videos really helped me pinpoint why S1 worked so well and why S2 doesn’t hit the same. S1 is able to do a lot because every character, theme, arc, etc. are linked and progress each other. In S2 everything is so disjointed with characters doing their own unrelated thing half the time

If everything is a losing issue than what issues do democrats actually have left? If no one matters then who are they even appealing to?

I’m now wondering if this is more something like nightreign without a real campaign and if so that’s really disappointing

Katharsis from Tokyo ghoul re feels weirdly claustrophobic in how it’s edited. It’s missing the cool guitar riff and kinda just feels like once it gets to the best parts of the songs it suddenly has to end without giving them room to breathe

Opinions on both characters largely seem to hinge on how you feel about bumblby. Unlike ships in other fandoms I rarely see loving one or both characters but not liking the ship itself or loving the characters but thinking the ship is eh. It seems to be all in both ways

Emerald is weird cause I think her turn to join the good guys definitely belongs in the controversial section cause I’ve seen it received largely negative or mixed responses but admittedly I haven’t seen that translate too much to hatred for the character herself

Omen is genuinely so cool and feels like it’s be the perfect ‘final’ transformation, then the took away everything that made it cool

Trying to take any hard stance on the show is difficult cause you risk aligning yourself with the most annoying people possible.

I also don’t think anything was really planned from the start but I also don’t care and think bickering about it is a waste of time
