Yes, I was the proud “owner” of one of these babies and apparently they’re available again. Dunna dunna dunna dunna, Batman!

I didn't find that particularly insightful or informative - very much as expected - though I'm a knee-jerk AI antagonist. Would much prefer your own take without the double hyphens and three bullet lists. Though you clearly indicated the AI prompt, we might also argue the definition of authorship 😬

Another way to look at things.

TFW your provincial MP (an MD) uses his weekly update to urge vaccination and provides information on access. It almost feels like it was when I was a kid and vaccines were seen as live savers, not political tools.

We went to Bordeaux this Summer (Sept) with KLM and Air France. Simply wonderful.

Glad it’s there but, geez, it has nothing on Victorian era UK train stations. This is York, UK. c8.alamy.com/comp/2ATYNM8...

Had a very humbling week. Received a lovely honour from the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and experienced the remarkable Run Terry Run documentary with a live sound track by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Also received another Jury Duty summons (3rd in four years). Democracy!

Spend over 90 mins waiting to connect to a live Rogers telecom agent as we have no TV (but internet is fine and I went through all of the troubleshooting). The chat when connected didn’t go well. Enshittification personified. Transcript:

Methinks being locking in a fortress when the call comes from within the house is not reassuring.

Shout out to the cardinal that patiently waited for the squirrels to fill their large bellies, fight amongst themselves, fall asleep and then chip away at a few leftovers at dusk.

Updating my laptop to MacOS Tahoe (which is reassuring catching up to me in age) and the estimate of time remaining is randomly jumping between 7 mins and 23 hours and everything in between. Looking good!

The enshittification agenda at Amazon proceeds apace. Of course, the cancellation process has a series of traps. And, of course, the price steadily rises.

Makes my feeder look utterly inadequate (aside the lovely Cardinal).

This article makes some reasonable points about potential for over diagnosis of conditions such as ADHD but this terrible paragraph betrayed the authors true position. (Gift link) www.theglobeandmail.com/gift/46242ee...

I remember the days when you could buy a mundane device and you kept it until it broke down. Spending $200+ on a device to replace one that hasn’t failed in of itself and provides little additional benefit apart from “security updates” is a scam. Hope they rot in the warehouses.

Taking over your baton around Bordeaux. Hard to overestimate the Dordogne.
