Good evening, everyone.

Picture 1 is a grain of rice

Picture 2 is that same grain of rice an arm's length away from me towards the sky.

Behind that same grain of rice
is a minimum of 5500 galaxies. (picture three, from Hubble's deep field image) Not solar systems, but galaxies.

Just, wow!

The Planet parade is going on and tonight, Saturn and Venus (See picture) are close together.

(Venus is the brighter point of light.)

The planets are aligning for the Lions. Go Lions!

This is Mars (The point of light just below and to the left of the Moon.) next to the moon. A little later tonight, it will move behind it, blocking our view.

I wish I had better camera skills. The pictures below are of:

The first picture is of Mars.

The second picture is of the moon and Jupiter.

The third picture is of Venus and Saturn.

Nice viewing tonight.

The first picture is of Mars (Lower) and the bright point of light above it is the star Pollux.

Mars is really red in the night sky, but my camera didnt capture it.

It took the light from Pollux 34 years to reach this camera lens and my eyes.

The second picture is of the moon and Jupiter.

Happy Winter solstice everyone. Longer days ahead, and more sunlight.

Tonight at 4:21 A.M. (EST) the Winter Solstice officially begins.
Right now, the Earth (For us in the Northern hemisphere) is fully tilted away from the Sun. So, it is the longest night of the year.

Have a wonderful day.

Do you want to feel inspired and awe struck?

Look at this picture and think about this:
This photo you're looking at on your phone or cpu, was taken yesterday and posted a few hours later, from the surface of Mars, 140 million miles away.

Mind blown.
