You need to bring disability justice into your daily life.

There is no defeating fascism without it.

Otherwise, you're helping to create the conditions for the eradication of disabled people and everyone else who isn't "useful" to capitalism.

So put on the mask and listen.

Stop logging on here and calling disabled people "useless eaters" because you think everyone should be able to fist fight a fascist or go to the gym every day. Or because some need support from delivery services but you think they're lazy and useless for using DoorDash.

Stop calling everything you disagree with "crazy" or everyone who does something evil "psychotic" or "mentally ill."

Stop using disability and mental illness as a gauge of morality and "normalcy."

You need to challenge the ableist inside of you. Like, yesterday. But now is good, too.

You need to wear a mask in public.

You need to remove ableist & sanist words from your vocabulary - the same language fascists use to dehumanize & disappear people. They’ll use it on you, too.

Where were you when autistic people asked you to wear a mask?

Where were you when autistic people said to stop using ableist language?

You should've been listening to them the whole time.

We could've prevented this moment if you just listened from the start.

Now you're rightfully angry at RFK Jr. and the attacks on autistic people.

But where were you when autistic people said trying to fit into the norms of the capitalist status quo would lead us to this fascist movement?

They told you to vax and relax. Ignore the data.
Ignore the mountains of research. Trust their authority on this. Don't listen the actual researchers, disabled people, and activists all warning us of the coming tide.

And you agreed.

They used their authority, education, and experience to convince you that layering precautions is not necessary, because only "other" people are being harmed by your choices - and those “other” people aren't "worth" anything to capitalism.

You believe that his education & experience qualify him to determine who lives & who dies, and that it should shield him from criticism.

This goes for Walensky, Jha, Cohen, & everyone else with a MD or PhD who uses their authority to convince you not to care about others.

And this highlights the core difference between the blue and red teams.

One does its fascism with decorum.

A highly educated and respected doctor telling you it's okay to commit social murder is accepted because he said it nicely, and you don't believe he can be evil.

Without that reminder, there's little stopping you from endlessly consuming and going about the "normal" life that capitalism demands to keep profits rising and your money flowing upward to the richest people.

Capitalism needed you to go back to bars, restaurants, shopping, commuting to work every day.

Convincing you to unmask was necessary because it removed the reminder that COVID is still killing & disabling people.

Both statements are predicated on the notion that one's productivity under capitalism is the only thing that makes them human and worthy of love & protection.

Disabled & elderly people had to "fall by the wayside" because capitalism required that in its quest of infinite profits.

It is long past time to put the masks back on. You need to step up and walk the walk.

Do not go into public without wearing a high filtration mask like a KN95 or N95.
