Federal policies like an unconscionable halting of SNAP benefits & ICE raids terrorizing immigrant families are causing great harm. We all need to pitch in what we can right now so that together, we can make a big impact and support the diverse communities that make MultCo such a special place.

Nearly one in five people throughout Multnomah County rely on SNAP to help buy groceries.
My goal with this funding is to both provide resources to take advantage of larger food banks buying power while providing flexibility to respond to specific needs throughout the County.

The Peer Company currently manages the Behavioral Health Resource Center downtown, which reached 100,000 visits last July.
They are also one of the organizations that can access sobering services at the Pathway Center alongside Portland Street Response, Project Respond, CHAT, 4D Recovery, and VOA.

Regardless of the government shutdown, if this administration fails to act within the next week, they will instead take food from the mouths of children and force a policy of pain and cruelty onto families who depend on SNAP food assistance. This is wholly unacceptable.
