Optimistically around 8-8:30am to get there between 10-10:30am to catch the support races. Drive is around 1h30-2h depending on traffic. :)

If you were thinking of going but needed a ride down there, I'm driving down for the race Sunday morning from central Melbourne. :) (if you are ok with accepting car trips from random people on the internet haha).

Also the Australian Moto GP race is at the Phillip Island circuit in victoria that weekend 👀

Probably too far off the direct route but Wilsons Promontory National Park is 2.5 hours south east of Melbourne and it is beautiful.
