You’re the best source of information there is on the California budget process, but I’ve always been frustrated by your insistence about its transparency. The sad fact of the matter is that it is far less transparent today than it was even ten years ago, even with the 72 hour requirement.

Having dealt with his vagaries for the past 7 years as a legislative advocate for public schools, I don’t know that I would call him hateful. He’s intensely opportunistic to the nth degree, but in the end it’s probably a distinction without a difference. The outcome is the same.
